Go to http://Wikispaces.com and STOP! Teacher will give you specific instructions along with login and passcode information. Do not proceed until Mrs. Stevens says to. Sort of like Simon Says!

Best thing to remember when setting up a wiki: Write Everything Down!

To begin editing your Home Page, click on the EDIT button on the upper right hand side of the page.

1. Click on the drop down box above and choose Heading 2 and type in YOUR NAME

  • This will give you a bold heading look.
2. After you have chosen Heading 2, type in the name of your home campus, example
  • Richland High School, hyperlink it to the web site for your home campus.
  • Remember, when you are hyperlinking to a website, click on the "link" tab above and then on "external link".
3. Your year of graduation
4. Using the file button at the top of the page, attach a photo of yourself on your home page.
  • If you don't have a photo on file, take a picture of yourself using "Photobooth" on your dock and use it.
5. Go to YouTube and search Educational Videos. Find a short (less than 3 minutes) video pertaining to education. (counting, ABC's, multiplication, etc).
  • You will need to click on "Share",
  • then on the Embed button.
  • When the Embed code opens, copy this code.
  • To "Embed" on your home page. To embed a video, you will click on the "Widget" button on the tool bar, then click on Video at the top left of the box that opens,
  • when the video prompt opens, paste the embed code you copied from YouTube into the box and save.
  • This is an example of an "embedded" video.

The grade will be based on teacher observations using a checklist of all elements on the home page being present and functioning properly.
